As the coronavirus has emerged and spread, I thought it was important to let you know what The Grove is doing to keep our vendors, our coworkers and our neighbors safe and healthy. We are closely following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control.
- All employees have been instructed to follow the recommendations regarding hand washing and avoidance of touching their face, nose and mouth.
- Any employees who are sick have been instructed to stay home.
- Coworkers returning from any level 2 or 3 countries are instructed to remain home and self-quarantine for 14 days.
- Retail employees are permitted to wear face masks and gloves for added precaution
- All Production and Cultivation facility employees are required to wear masks and gloves after washing hands within CDC guidelines.
All our facilities, including stores and offices and are cleaned daily. We have now increased the frequency to hourly and focus of those cleanings with special attention to sanitizing bathrooms, door handles, hand railings and any other frequently touched surfaces. Hand sanitizers have been placed throughout our stores for customers and coworkers to use.
In this fast changing situation, we continue to monitor the CDC’s recommendations and consult with the appropriate professionals to ensure the health and safety of all of us – our customers, coworkers and members of the local communities.
By following the best practices recommended by the CDC and other health care professionals, we are confident that our stores and facilities are safe. We will continue to operate and look forward to serving you with the same high standards you expect at The Grove!
